Psychology and saints

A saint? A arquetypal? A symbol?
All of them..

What can we consider about saints? They have right to creed? It's a impossible thing to response. Moreover, to response to it we need most of all give up of all ours preconception about creeds. It is not really a hard thing to do, but a different one.

I don't believe in saints like a "divine form of man", but like a example, a model or - best than this - a mental model that has been elaborated for culture or history and could be used to improve ours faith trough him (or her) example of his behavior in relation with creed or point of view of this world. Obviously, all of I have said here was only an arquetypal form of a symbol, and it only works if you want to see a saint just like a symbol. It's a resume of a scientific point of view.

Santa Luzia, for instance, was a woman that recovered your vision trough faith. It's means that a "best way of look" was given to her trough a condiction that we are not prepared for, yet. In other words, she had conected herself with a condition to see in another way, a holy way, and that condition was based only on faith in an unkown - but mental - form of seeing. If we take this history of Santa Luzia's life as a example, we could at least honor that.
